You will be picked up from your Nairobi hotel or at the airport and depart for Amboseli at 7:00 am. You will drive through the busy Nairobi-Mombasa highway arriving on time for lunch at the Amboseli Sopa Lodge. You will relax in the camp getting ready for the afternoon game drive starting from 3:00 pm. Amboseli National Park is famous for its big game which includes elephants, lions, and cheetahs are the main attractions, and for its great scenery beauty. Amboseli embodies five main wildlife habitats, plus a generally dry lakebed – Lake Amboseli. These are open plains; extensive stands of yellow-barked acacia woodland; rocky, lava-strewn thorn-bush country; swamps and marshes; and at the western end of the reserve, above Namanga, the massif of Ol Doinyo Orok rising to over 2,760m (8.300ft) and still for the most part zoologically unexplored.

You will leave the camp after breakfast with a packed picnic lunch to be served in the park. You’ll enjoy a full-day game drive where you will enjoy seeing animals against the backdrop of Africa’s highest mountain. You will be amazed by the number of elephants that are residents here as well as the number of bird species among them migratory birds. Four of the Big Five are also residents here so you can look forward to a fun-filled day. You’ll return to the camp in the evening for dinner and an overnight stay.
